Northern Ireland

Northern Ireland has no official flag of its own. Since 1972, the Union Flag (Union Jack) has been the only flag used by the government. The Ulster Banner, a red hand on a white six-pointed star with a crown above it, was used by the Government of Northern Ireland from 1953 until the Parliament of Northern Ireland was abolished in 1972.
